AUGUST 2024 F4G!

Dear Ones,                


We are so thankful for each and everyone of you. We want to start by apologizing to those of you who may have missed our news last month. It seems that our Mail chimp account was possibly hacked. We were not able to access it and sadly may have lost some of our email addresses that were there. We have now opened a new account and hope and pray for all to go smoothly from now on.


1 A LIFE TRANSFORMED:



Romans 12: 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.


The Bible does not suggest that there is any other way to experience a genuine change. In Mark 1:15 Jesus said


Mark 1:15  “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”  Repent means to change our way of thinking. To cause our thought life and speech to line up with God’s thoughts and way of speaking.


In Matthew 28:20  Jesus said,  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.


If we will renew our minds to the Word of God, repent, turn from our own ways of reasoning, and observe all  that He has commanded us, our lives will be totally transformed, like a silk worm turning from a cocoon to a beautiful butterfly rising above the obstacles and hardships of life. We have seen such a beautiful transformation in a precious young lady that the Lord brought to us when she was especially needy and broken.


Not only was her heart broken, but many things in her life were out of place.  Some of the things were:


Her relationship with her mother was broken and basically non existent. This is now being restored and they are getting much closer.


For six months her car was in and out of the mechanics workshop with a problem that just didn’t seem to come right. This was no small cause of frustration for both our friend and the mechanics. After fighting for so long, we encouraged her to pray over the repairs. She did. The Lord also laid it on her heart to take a much kinder approach. It is now fully repaired! On top of that, as a “bonus” they have offered to change her winter tires to summer tires each season free of charge. Not to donate the tires, but to change them for her for free – for as often as is needed. They said for life and they put it in writing!


She is a member of Falck and received 3 free massages. However, she was in need of more. When contacting them they readily offered her 6 more free massages! She is finding more and more that God’s favour is on her!


This, and more has happened just within the last 1-2 months as she has given herself wholeheartedly to studying the Word and drawing close to Jesus. She comes to us twice a weeks and loves to sit under the Word for hours! She is being transformed and we praise the Lord for being His instruments to bring her closer to Him!

ENCOUNTER:

After a long pause due to summer holidays, changes, etc. we have now started having Encounter Meetings again. We mainly focused on gathering together to pray for the work in Vollsmose and spend some time worshiping the Lord together.

CAFE RED SUN:

Café Røde Sol (Red Sun) also started up. This is also referred to as the Women’s Café. Every Friday night the women of the community (mainly Arabs) get together to discuss a subect and share an ethnic meal. Last time we were approximately 40 women and were served some Syrian dishes. We also discussed the subject of security concerning our children and young people and what is considered permissible versus too restrictive. It is a good way for me to get to meet and know people.

THE DOOR:

While the Vineyard church was closed during the summer , we attended the  Dorr run by a South African pastor. Philip and I also teamed up with the pastor and his wife for some street witnessing a few days later. Three souls were led to the Lord!

BIBLE SCHOOL:

This month we started running Bible School. Rather than choosing random subjects we felt led to start from the top and run through the Bible School curriculum we have on hand and that we ourselves have greatly benefitted from. We are praying for more attendees. Meanwhile we will continue with the ones that show up— even if only one. We pray that others will catch on as the word spread and have already been told that several others are interested. We just might have to change the day!

DANISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL:

Philip has been invited to attend a free Danish course. He is in School for 2 and a half hours every Monday and Wednesday. He is doing quite well, according to the teacher, with both reading and writing the language, but needs to work on the pronunciation. Danish is know for being a language that is difficult for most foreigners to pronounc

TRACTS:

We prepared three new tracts: One in Ukrainian/Russian  And two in English: that we plan to also translate: Born Again. Are You? And The Father’s Love Letter including a message on: You are Not Alone.

THE VINEYARD:

We have found that there is a real need for a  “coming to a knowledge of the truth” as it says in 1Timothy 2:4. We are seix-zing every opportunity to serve and minister in the church the Lord led us to. There are many young people who love Jesus but who do not yet have an understanding of the gospel, or we might say, a revelation of all they received when they received Jesus and so we like to sit and minister to them when possible.


This month we were invited to join the staff. We attended our first meeting which gave us a chance to give input and share some ideas that we hope to be found helpful and implemented!


We have also been asked to head up the street ministry and shared some ideas along those lines as well.

REACTIONS TO WHATS APP MESSAGES:

Since leaving South Africa about 9 months ago we have been in touch with a lot of the people there via our morning devotionals. We have also been able to add several people to the list since coming here. It is a pleasure for us to share some of the reactions here:

· Yes Rita ☺ we still going every Monday and it so awesome.... the group of Nomzamo is more matured now. They share the word, they even share the bible freely and they even share their bible scriptures on the group....☺☺☺ But they just missing you a lot … (This is the Bible study group we started in Nomzamo long ago. It is good to know the work is carrying on).


· Thank you so much for the everyday word, I really appreciate it. It motivates me a lot cause I've been feeling down a lot these days because of not being able to work, but these daily good news uplifts me a lot!


· This person has been on the receiving end of our What’s App morning devotions for a long time, but suddenly stopped responding. Through a roundabout way we were able to get back in touch, and this is what she said: Oh, Rita, what a lovely surprise. I got your message just now. I am so happy because I lost my phone. It fell in the water, so it was damaged and I didn’t have any way to contact anyone. So, thank you so much for this. I am so happy!


· I tried speaking in tongues the other day and I have never felt so much peace after doing it for maybe 15 minutes. I’ve always held back because I “didn’t have it” but after the message on Thursday, if I remember correctly, was an inspiration to speak up without hesitation and I was blown away by it. — (The Word shall not return void, it shall accomplish that whereto it is sent.)


· Such a blessing to have the word but we need to partake of the bread of Life and rightly divide the word of God so that it doesn’t hold us bondage. Thank you for sharing the beautiful principles. Appreciate you


· Morning just wanted to say thank you for praying for me to get a job. I started last week Wednesday I am working now!


· True, Amen sometimes our choices make get us in trouble and we say God is the one who did this to me. NO! God is love and mercy to us,  no matter what we do his  anointing  is always  with us .what a lovely  Father  we have! Be blessed Rita


These are just a few of the many reactions we receive to the Word. It is a blessing and a privilege to be able to pass on some of the eternal treasures that have been committed to us and we are so inspired to see how His Word works in the lives of those who receive it and believe it.

PRAISE REPORT:

Residence Permit:      We are so happy to let it be known that Philip now has received residence permit in Denmark. Our first application was sadly denied, but after much prayer, communication back and forth, help from our family in the Statess everything has now fallen in place. Praise the Lord for His goodness.


Package: Before leaving South Africa we shipped three boxes to Denmark. Sadly one was returned to South Africa as it weighed about one kg above the allowed weight. We were quite concerned as it contained all our summer clothes, shoes/sandals, and other essentials. But thanks to the Lord’s miraculously answer to our prayers and the help of some precious friends in South Africa the box was collected at the South African post office today! Praise the Lord and many thanks to our friends!
