Dear Ones,
Welcome to the good news of what we as a team accomplished again this
month. Life goes on and some things seem routine and possibly boring.
But things like eating and drinking although routine and potentially
boring must go on as our very lives depend on it.
This month's ministry:
- Feeding Schemes
- Sharing the Gospel, training, etc
SHOPPING:
In the photos below we shopped for two kitchens. The one in Nomzamo
which feeds between 4-5000 people a month and the Angels Kitchen in Sir
Lowry’s Pass which has increased and now feeds sometimes 100+ people
daily!

The two piles of potatoes, carrots and onions are ours, as well as all the cabbages!

Helping Hand: We are very thankful to the charity ‘Helping Hand’. From
time to time they assists us with their extra supplies. This month we
received a bakkie load of fresh fruit and veggies.
THE ANGELS' KITCHEN- SIR LOWRY'S PASS:

As mentioned briefly in the beginning the Angels’ Kitchen has now grown to where it feeds
+
100 people a days. Jessica, our Soup House mother, began last month to
feed the people living by the railroad tracks. She now cooks two pots of
food and after feeding the first lot by her house, she loads the
second pot unto a wheelbarrow and goes to the tracks to feed the people
staying there. God bless her!
BRIGHT STARS' KITCHEN - NOMZAMO:

We are please to say that our Soup Mothers are diligent to clean, cut,
and freeze all the veggies as we supply them. Nothing goes to waste this
way, and time is saved on a daily basis as the veggies are already
ready for use!
ELSIE'S KITCHEN-SIR LOWRY'S PASS:

Elsie's kitchen, in Sir Lowry's Pass, has now become a regular recipient of bread/pizza bases
. They feed approximate 150 people a day.
MILK:

We again received a donation of 100 liters of milk which was distributed between Nomzamo and various places in Sir Lowry’s Pass.
BREAD AND PIZZA BASES:

This is just one of the many full bakkie loads we received via Lions’
Club Gordon’s Bay. We thank them and the precious donors who have been
faithfully supplying! Over 1000 sacks (not pieces) of pizza bases were
delivered this month. That entailed collecting and distributing
sometimes up to several times a week. But we would never say no as it
brings such joy and contentment to the happy receivers. Many depend on
this help for their basis daily needs, such as bread!
NOMZAMO:
SIR LOWRY'S PASS:

The above is just a brief glimpse as it would not be possible to include
every pick-up and every delivery! We thank God for Hie never ending
generosity!
WOOLWORTHS:

As mentioned previously Woolworths is a big blessing to Joyce’s
Kitchen. Once a week we collect, sort, weigh and deliver the supplies!

WEET-BIX:

This month 10 boxes of Weet-Bix were distributed in SLP and Nomzamo. One
box also went to assist for the food hampers regularly being provided
by the Lions’ Club to needy families. (A few of these are seen below.

The Angels’ Soup Kitchen has + 20 children that come for breakfast
before going to school. They especially enjoy it when there is Weet-Bix
available! Several ECD centers are on the receiving end as well!
GRACELIFE:

From time to time at the end of the ministry time there is time for
Q&As. Everyone really enjoys these sessions, and we learn a lot from
each other. Everyone tries to enter in and take notes in order to be
able to contribute. We also tend to remember better what was shared as
it gets discussed!

On Mother’s Day all the visiting women received a beautiful rose and a
chocolate bar. At the end Emily surprised everyone by calling the women
of the core team of the church up to likewise be blessed!

We have a precious team of 10+ dedicated women rotating turns teaching
the kids at our Kidz’ church. We started out with a small group of kids,
but now regularly have over 20 in attendance!
TRAINING:
Kidz’ Church teachers, all attended a very enlightening and powerful
training course. It was taught by Martinette from Gracelife central and teachers from other campuses attended as well!

This month we also attended a
leadership training conference.
It happened to fall on Philip’s birthday. Everyone sang for Philip,
prayed for him, and we were served a surprise birthday cake! Blessed
indeed!
LIFE-GROUPS:

Here we are teaching early Monday morning in Nomzamo. We teach in SLP
Monday evening, in Gordon’s Bay Tuesday afternoon, and in our home
Wednesday morning. We also have a What’s up ministry and online
meetings. We are very happy and fulfilled, as well as honored to be able
to minister to others. Praise the Lord!

The children, that arrive one after another while we teach, usually play
quietly during our half house class and then join us at the end for
prayer!
THE BAXTER THEATER:

The Lions’ Club asked us to please invite and accompany some seniors to a
free Jazz Festival at the Baxter theater. It was a very blessed
experience and nice to do something recreational and different! As we
were leaving the theater someone handed us, the three ladies, a Pick ’n
Pay bag filled with a nice assortment of nice toiletries. An additional
wonderful and unexpected surprise.
