HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026! December News Letter!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026!

Dear Ones,

We hope and pray you have enjoyed a wonderful season of love and laughter with your family, friends and loved ones this far!

We want to wish you a very Happy New Year 2026! We also want to thank you for your love, partnership and support throughout the year that passed. We look forward to carrying on our mission of spreading the love of Jesus, the Good News, and establishing the kingdom of God in the hearts of the people we meet, with you in the new year. Our time here may be short compared to eternity. But this is a window of opportunity for us to help make an everlasting change in the lives of others.

We thank you for having joined us in this mission and we thank you for our continued combined efforts to bring love and hope to a desperately needy and dying world.

As Dwight L. Moody said, “The only Bible the world reads is bound in shoe leather—you and me. “

So this mission will never come to an end till Jesus returns and, as it says in Jeremiah 31:34 (KJV), No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.”

We rejoice to see that days. Meanwhile we will redeem the opportunities given us here to reach out and to demonstrate the love of God to others to the best of our ability!

OUR VISIT TO THE STATES:

As you may remember from our previous newsletter, our two daughters sent us tickets to come to the States to spend Christmas and New Year’s with them. We left Denmark the 1st of December and will be leaving from here on the  8th of January.

This has been a much needed time for us to stand back from our mission, to be refreshed, renewed and to reunite with our precious loved ones. We do not often get this opportunity, and to actually celebrate with our personal family and to reconnect with them has been a great and rare blessing.  They likewise have greatly desired for us to have this time together. A time we all value and look forward to with anticipation again sometime in the future!

We have been so blessed to have this time with our family, and they have all gone above and beyond to make us comfortable, and happy in every way. We have much to be thankful for.

With the following pages we want to give you a brief glimpse into our stay here this far:

WHATS-APP MINISTRY:

Thankfully this is a ministry we were able to carry with  us, and so we carried on sending out our messages till Friday the 19th of December and will be back in touch Monday the 12th of January after we return from our trip. (We will as mentioned be leaving on the 8th of January, arrive back on the 9th of January, which is a Friday, and so look forward to being back in touch Monday the 12th in January 2026!

CHURCH SERVICE:

On the 23rd we attended a beautiful church service in Austin. The pastor gave a beautiful Christmas message which included many of the prophecies about the Messiah. He also gave an alter call and many hands went up in response to receiv9ing the Lord.

Before we closed off everyone lit a candle and together we and “Silent Night”. It was a very beautiful and meaningful event!

HOME LIFE:

Our youngest daughter, Joy, took the opportunity to cook several delicious Greek meals with her Papi, Philip. She also recorded some of the steps for her own future reference.  It was a nice time of bonding, which Philip especially enjoyed as these are rare and treasured moments.

Meanwhile I would be laying puzzles. This is a family tradition that we have carried on over the years.

We enjoyed fellow-shipping while laying a puzzle as opposed to just sitting down before the TV which does not lend itself to a time of communication and enjoying each other’s presence as readily as a puzzle does for us.

Here I was blessed to place the last piece although I was not to one to complete the final steps, as our daughter has a much better eye for where to place the pieces!

CHRISTMAS:

We all celebrated the 24th evening at our oldest daughter, Elzabeth’s house. We were served their traditional Christmas meal, lasagna, which we all greatly enjoyed!

On the 25th we celebrated Christmas again at our oldest daughter’s house. We all wore our Christmas PJs which our youngest granddaughter gifted to everyone. This is the traditional American way of hanging out in your PJs on the morning of the 25th. It was a first for us, and we found it fun and relaxing! Their dog, Thor, also eagerly participated and got a couple of gifts as well!  — And so did the cat, Spoon!

FOOD DISTRIBUTION:

Meanwhile in Denmark we were happy to see the generous supply of food that came in over the holiday season. We also applaud the volunteers who already work hard and have had to take extra shifts in our absence. Before we left, we did however have to promise to come and help again in the new year. And we look forward to help out again with this good cause as many poor families, especially refugees and immigrants, depend heavily upon it. Although there also are several Danish families that come on a regularly!

In closing we want to thank you our precious partners, who support us and our ministry through your love, prayers, etc. Together we are spreading the Good News and establishing the kingdom of God in the hearts of many. As a team we are stronger and can accomplish more! Thank you!
