Dear Ones,   We have had a full and enriching month and we look forward to giving you a brief glimpse right here into all that has transpired. But first things first. Before we carry on we want to acknowledge that this work here has only been made possible by you our faithful partners backing and support.  So we want to start by thanking every one of you who have and are supporting us in one way or another: your prayers, encouragement, financial support, etc. This is OUR work and we thank you for the vital part each of you play! Thank you! BIBLE STUDIES: Our desires have long been to see more students attend our classes. You can therefore imagine how happy we were when someone approached us telling us that they were looking for a cell group to join. We told them that we are leading such a group and were happy to see them at our next meeting. We had a wonderful time and were also able to pray together for healing and other specific needs. We trust that this is only the beginning and that many more will join. OUTREACH: This month there were a lot of demonstrations in our city. No one is an island and what happens somewhere else has a ripple effect throughout. Thankfully we have the answer to the world’s peace: Jesus! And we were able to share this with many. The Iranian community bringing awareness and pleas for support of their cause. When we told them that we are praying for Iran we received hugs and many words of appreciation! The Palestinian community and their supporters were out the same day. This time we did not hear them though,  (they usually use loudspeakers so that there is no way to miss their presence. They had a lot of picketing sign laying on the ground saying, “Stop Racism”. But only visible if you got close enough. This was a demonstration for human rights. The sign being held up reads: “No one is free until all are free.” While we were there a woman from Greenland was speaking about her children having been unfairly removed. The walking street was also full of politicians each campaigning for their party. We got to speak with some of them in person and leave them with a witness. Meanwhile roses, tangerines, candies, cucumbers, etc. were being handed out along with their campaign  papers. It was a very interesting and action-filled day and we were happy that we were there as well to represent THE Government! Praise the Lord! WOMEN’S INTERNATIONAL FIGHT FOR FREEDOM DAY: We were invited along by our local community here to celebrate The Women’s International Fight for Freedom Day. First four different women stood up and testified of how they had been forced into child marriages while here in Denmark (for obvious reasons we were not allowed to photograph them). The sign behind the politicians that participated says, Women’s International Fight for Freedom Day: When a “yes” isn’t a choice.” Questions were raised as to how such a thing could take place in Denmark, and the problem of parallel societies was addressed. Furthermore is was said that laws had been put in place to prevent these things from happening, but that law enforcement (the police in this case) often are afraid to take action.  It was a big subject and a lot of questions and answers took place. Our prayers are that in Denmark the Danish laws will be adhered to and that while in Denmark do as the Danes do!  Thankfully there was also a few words spoken of the freedom found here.   After the meeting there were refreshments and yet another activity. Here Asyl is giving the background for the hair braiding activity: A Kurdish female soldier was killed, and a Syrian Army soldier cut off her braid and displayed it. Because braids hold deep cultural meaning, Kurdish women worldwide responded by braiding their hair as a symbol of resistance, dignity, and remembrance. Why Cutting a Braid Is So Violent: Because the braid symbolizes identity and dignity, cutting it is seen as: A symbolic attack on womanhood, An attempt to erase identity, A humiliation of the entire community. This is why the recent incident in Rojava — where a Syrian soldier cut the braid of a fallen Kurdish fighter — caused such deep collective pain and sparked global protests. The sign by the entrance says: All women has a right to a free life. Sisters against violence and control fights for all women’s right to live a free and independent life—and above all free of social control and violence. SENIOR MEETING: We were invited to attend a Senior Meeting as our friend was going to talk and give his testimony. He had, while doing missionary work in Thailand, been diagnosed with cancer. Due to this he and his family returned to Denmark where he was given little to no hope of recovery. However, now, 37 years later he is in full health and still active for the Lord. Philip struck up a conversation with an elderly man—all in Danish and without my translation as I was busy talking with a lady seated next to me. When we arrived at the bus station Philip to his amazement found that the elderly man, unbeknownst to him, had slipped a generous donation  into his phone cover. The Lord works in wonderful ways and never leaves us comfortless! FOOD DISTRIBUTION: We are happy to be a part of the weekly food distribution. We had to handle it on our own one day as the election campaign was underway and Café Respect is usually open and entertains with food, coffee, tea and cake all for free in order to encourage participation. This kept Asyl busy and unavailable. This month we had the annual general meeting for the local Food Distribution Centre. Many points were brought up that  needed to be addressed for a more sufficient and effective job and use of the personnel. I was asked to take down the minutes for the meeting. I was the only one who had brought along a notebook so it just seemed natural. Haha! And at Red Sun’ Cultural Association’s annual meeting I was likewise chosen to take down the minutes, transcribe and send them in to later be distributed among the members. THE LIGHTHOUSE CHURCH: One of our Bible students is also a talented drummer and is part of the worship team in the Lighthouse church! One of the services was geared to families attending together. Our South African pastor pulled out his “lunch” and asked the children, that were all seated on the floor in front of him, (about 10-15) to raise their hand if they had also brought their lunch along. Nobody raised their hand and from there the testimony of how Jesus had multiplied one small boys lunch proceeded. After the service there was a couch lunch. Everyone had been encouraged to bring a dish along so that we could all share whatever was brought. Philip and I brought falafel, tahini dip, cucumber and cherry tomatoes. It turned out that it was also somebody’s birthday so lots of cake was served as well.     At this time of fellowship and interaction was where we also met people that were looking for a cell group to attend and we were happy that we were able to invite them to join us, which they did.

WHATS-APP MINISTRY: Here I am early in the morning cozy in my house robe doing one of my favorite things.We are happy to have this ministry which got started under the COVID epidemic while we were still in South Africa. We have had several new people sign up since we came to Denmark and we are finding it to be a very effective way to share the word on a daily basis. I usually get us at 4:45 am local time and start sending out the message right away. This is so that those you prefer will be able to get it before heading off to work. It is very rewarding when we get message such as: Thank you for sharing the Word of God. Me and my family are being greatly helped! And/or when we receive prayer requests for healing and later are told that the prayers are being felt and that healing has taken place, etc. TRACTS: This month we worked on a new tract called, “Why Wars?” We have found when distributing the “Why Do Bad Thing Happen” tract that people often ask us, “What is this?” Rather than sharing the message of the tract we reply back, “Many do not understand why, if God is love, He allows so many bad things to happen.” A lot of people reply, “Yes, exactly!” We say that’s what’s being addressed here and the majority of the time we see them beginning to read as they walk away as opposed to just sticking it in their pocket. This gave rise to the need for also produce something about why so many wars are taking place as the two subjects kind of go hand in hand. CAFE RESPECT: Before election day. Representatives from various political parties were invited to for a Questions and Answers night at Café Respect. Each representative on the panel was given a balloon and people took turn asking the question. After everyone had told what they stood for the person that asked the question then went around and pooped the balloons of everyone whose answer they like least of all till only one balloon remained not popped. At the end of the evening delicious home made pies were served. As always we ask permission before taking pictures and in this case most of the ladies stepped out of the picture, but it was a full and active kitchen. I briefly mentioned this project in the last newsletter. After these pictures were posted three weeks in the library they have now been moved to the Café Respect. They were hung on the wall there and everyone was asked to please allow them to hang there as well for a few weeks before getting their art returned. While the project was underway we each had to say why we chose the word we did. Our reply was then posted next to our picture. Mine said: Love! My word is love. I chose the word love because I believe that God is love. Not like human love, i.e. I love you, if,..or I love you, when… God’s love is unconditional and never fails. That’s why it brings reassurance and  makes one whole. It gives courage in life and is (in my opinion) the key to a good life! Mainly Arabs would have seen this display and I hope it has given food for thought to many. ELECTIONS: Seeing that we are now in Denmark where I have permission to vote we have been actively engaging ourselves in researching, reading up on and attending meetings. The outcome of the Danish elections was as follows: The Danish election left both the left and right blocs without a majority, even though the Social Democrats remained the largest party. Coalition talks are now underway, with the centrist Moderates acting as the key kingmaker. Denmark is essentially in a holding phase while negotiations determine what the next government will look like. You prayers for the most godly and positive outcome are greatly appreciated! FEEDING WORD: HAPPY EASTER 2026! Easter Message — The Miraculous Signs of Matthew 27 Easter calls us to remember the powerful signs that accompanied Jesus’ death in Matthew 27—each one declaring what His sacrifice accomplished for us.   1. Darkness Over the Land (Matthew 27:45) A deep darkness covered the land for three hours. This sign showed the weight of sin Jesus carried and creation’s grief as the Savior gave His life.   2. The Temple Veil Torn (Matthew 27:51) The veil separating the Holy of Holies was torn from top to bottom. God Himself opened the way for us to come into His presence freely—no more barriers, no more distance.   3. The Earthquake and Split Rocks (Matthew 27:51) The earth shook violently. Creation responded to the death of its Creator, signalling that a new covenant was being established.   4. Tombs Opened and Saints Raised (Matthew 27:52–53) Tombs broke open and many holy people were raised to life. This was a preview of the resurrection power Jesus would unleash—death was already losing its grip.   5. The Centurion’s Confession (Matthew 27:54) A Roman centurion, witnessing these signs, declared, “Surely He was the Son of God.” Even hardened hearts were moved by the truth of who Jesus is.   What These Signs Mean for Us Today •  Jesus entered our darkness so we could walk in His light. •  The torn veil means we have full access to God. •  God still shakes what needs to be shaken so that His life can break through. •  Resurrection hope is real—death does not have the final word. •  Jesus continues to reveal Himself to those who seek Him.   Suggested Memory Verse Matthew 28:6 “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” A simple, powerful reminder of the heart of Easter: Jesus lives, and because He lives, we have hope. TESTIMONIES: When returning from church one day I, Rita, to my dismay discovered that my phone was gone. I had been traveling by bus, and by tram, and had been in church. I called all around, but to no avail. We also tried to report it to the police, but was not able to get a hold of anyone. Praise the Lord for Philip who kept calling my phone. And to our pleasant surprise someone had turned my phone in to the guard at the train station, and when Philip called the phone he answered it. So a few hours after loosing the phone I had it back. Needless to say we were extremely comforted and kept praising the Lord for His goodness! Through this experience I felt that I for the first time truly understood what it means to “be floored”. I felt that although I kept saying, “Thank You Lord”, that I had not truly thanked Him until I had gotten down on the floor and had given Him my full focus and attention in thanking Him. He had me “floored” be His goodness! Praise the Lord! HEALING TESTIMONIES: We met S. in church. She had a big boil on her face and was quite distraught about it. We offered to pray for her. We did not see her again until two weeks later. As soon as she noticed us she came up with a big shine in her face showing us how the Lord had miraculously and speedily healed her. Praise the Lord! P. Came to join our Bible study, but arrived feeling very dizzy and not well. In fact he asked to turn off the lights as it hurt his eyes. We laid hands on him, rebuked the dizziness and spirit of infirmity. By the time our class was over and it was time to leave he was completely well again. Praise the Lord! In church during the service Philip noticed a lady nearby clutching her arm and obviously feeling unwell. As soon as the opportunity presented itself he went and offered to pray for her. The Lord answered beautifully and she felt a lot better. B. another of our Bible student asked for prayer at a previous meeting as she said she was sick. We and all of the students laid hands on her and prayed for her. When we saw her the following week she said that she had been feeling very well. Praise the Lord. WHATS-APP AND BIBLE STUDY TESTIMONIES: One of our students wrote: Thank you for yet another exciting Bible study. God bless you for having these classes. S. wrote: Thank you so much for sharing the Word of God. Me and my family are really helped. N. We received a prayer request for N. who had been critically  ill from painful headaches, and excruciating pain of his bones. We later received this back: Thank you so much to you and all the missionaries. I can feel the prayers navigating through my system. Thank you! PRAYER REQUESTS: PEACE: There are wars and rumors of war. Many innocents are suffering as a result and even loosing their lives in the process. THE PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS WORLDWIDE: Please join us in prayer for the persecuted Christians worldwide. For their witness, encouragement, protection, deliverance, guidance, provision, etc. OUR MINISTRY HERE: We want to thank you for your prayers and we are very happy to say that we have seen the Lord add people to our Bible studies. We are also happy to let you know that a big Rival school is taken place for 5 weeks in Copenhagen. People like Bill Johnson, Daniel Kolanda and many more are teaching and we are expecting a big revival and that the ripple effects will be felt throughout the land and beyond. A VEHICLE: We have not given up our dream of one day being the happy owners of a vehicle. It would enable our ministry to reach out further and make many things possible. Please join us in prayer for the Lord’s supernatural supply! THE FOOD DISTRIBUTION:  We have had a shortage of food in recent times. Shops that have committed to helping have not come through and others have been giving food of too poor quality to be distributed. Please pray with us for  the situation will be improved. Nevertheless we want to testify that when seeing the shortness and praying for the distribution the Lord has come through miraculously which has been a good testimony to the Muslims we work with in this ministry. THE DANISH GOVERNMENT: As mentioned coalition talks are in the works as the election did not produce a clear  outcome. Please pray with us for a godly government that listens to the Lord first and foremost. In closing we would like to give a special thank you to all of our partners and supporter. We are truly bless to have your love, faith and support. Together we are changing the world one heart at a time and having an influence for the kingdom that will never fade away!
